Samsung wykonał już takie zabiegi w przeszłości z serią Galaxy : S3 Mini, S4 Mini, S5 Mini lecz wraz z premierą Samsunga Galaxy S6 zrezygnował z tej strategii.
S9 Mini ma mieć przekątną poniżej 5' w proporcjach 18:9. Jak narazie nie poznaliśmy specyfikacji telefonu ale jeżeli ma on zadebiutować razem z S9 i S9+, możemy się spodziewać podobnej specyfikacji i tym samym możemy się spodziewać całkiem dobrego telefonu o małych rozmiarach
Czy to się opłaci Samsungowi?
Według mnie zarówno tak. Żyjemy w erze wielkich wyświetlaczy w telefonach. Rok 2017 jest rokiem proporcji 18:9 i przekątnej powyżej 5'. Taki mniejszy model z dobrymi podzespołami zapewne namieszałby na rynku, tak jak zrobił to IPhone SE który bardzo dobrze się przyjął. Czy Samsung wróci do tradycji? Czy Koreański gigant pójdzie w ślady swojego największego rywala tworząc "małego potwora"?
Nic nie jest potwierdzone i są to jedynie doniesienia, ale miejmy nadzieję że Samsung powróci do swoich korzeni i stworzy coś co podbije serca klientów, którzy nie szukają "gigantów" tylko telefonów, które mieszczą się w dłoni a ich obsługa nie jest utrudniona przez przekątną wyświetlacza

Some of the latest leaks suggest that Samsung and the launch of the new Galaxy S9 are preparing a surprise. I am talking about younger brother S's nine.
Samsung has already done such treatments in the past with Galaxy series: S3 Mini, S4 Mini, S5 Mini but with the release of Samsung Galaxy S6 gave up this strategy.
The S9 Mini is to have a diagonal of less than 5 'in 18: 9 proportions. So far we have not got to know the specifications of the phone but if it has to debut with S9 and S9 +, we can expect a similar specification and thus we can expect a pretty good phone with small sizes
Will it pay off for Samsung?
In my opinion, yes. We live in an era of large displays in telephones. 2017 is the year of the 18: 9 ratio and the diagonal is above 5 '. Such a smaller model with good components would probably be mixed up on the market, just like IPhone SE, who took it very well. Will Samsung come back to tradition? Will the Korean giant follow in the footsteps of its biggest rival creating a "little monster"?
Nothing is confirmed and these are only reports, but hopefully Samsung will return to its roots and create something that will win the hearts of customers who are not looking for "giants" only phones that fit in the palm of your hand and their support is not impeded by the diagonal display
